In the sermon on the mount, Jesus says that his followers should be salt and light for the Father’s glory. As salt, we bring precious preservation and flavour to the world. The commission to be light reminds us that we are not just to receive Jesus (the light of the world) but to reflect him to others. Our broken and dark world is in great need of salt and light. The good news of the gospel, and the good deeds of transformed lives, should shine like a light on a stand, or a city on a hill.

Where do people around us see darkness or decay in the world? How do they understand or find hope in the midst of these things? How could turning to the caring creator God help them to better understand and persevere through this. The Lord of the universe cares about this brokenness and plans to bring reconciliation, and crazily enough he even uses His saved people as part of His plan!

Details

This hoodie has a regular fit and is made from mid-weight, 290 GSM anti-pill fleece for warmth and comfort. It’s crafted from 80% cotton and 20% polyester, with raglan sleeves, a lined hood, tonal drawcord, a kangaroo pocket and sleeve cuff ribbing. It is pre-shrunk to help reduce shrinkage.

How to Measure

  • Lay an existing t-shirt flat.
  • Body Width: Measure 3cm below armpit, from one side to the other.
  • Body Length: Measure from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the t-shirt.

Care Instructions

  • Machine wash cold (inside out)
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not dry clean
  • Warm iron (inside out)
  • Line dry in shade
